Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $18.75 to $22.32 per hour. Full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Behavioral Health Specialist will be to provide a range of community based services specified youth and their families. Specific duties include but not limited to: providing services as a member of a pool of BHS staff, to be activated on an as-needed basis for attendant service; assisting in developing and providing structured activities; maintaining a safe and productive environment during the time spent in attendance with the child/adolescent; providing transportation to and from various activities or appointments as indicated by the treatment plan or as instructed by the QMHP; providing services in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, the child/adolescent's home, the school, or another community setting; completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal, or regulatory management of the case or the Center's operations in a timely and accurate manner; working no more than 19 hours per week (on average) during the calendar year (not guaranteed) which includes a minimum of 5 hours on a Saturday and /or Sunday, along with weekday hours between 4pm and 10pm; regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

Qualifications:

The Behavioral Health Specialist position requires but not limited to: 21 years old; and must be at least 3 years older that the children they are providing services for. Prefer some college education in social work, or related field, but not mandatory. Must have a High School diploma or GED. ability to pass required security background checks; reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a valid, unrestricted driver's license; experience in or knowledge of issues in working with severely emotionally disturbed youth and families is preferred; prior computer experience and basic computer literacy; must be able to achieve within one's first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center's electronic medical record (EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record; flexibility in assigned working hours; an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work place.
