Summary:
Wellspring is hiring a full-time Community Support Associate to provide one-on-one skill building with clients in the home or community to include: skills training, cueing, or supervision as identified in the client's individualized treatment plan, medication adherence and recognizing symptoms and side effects, non-clinical but therapeutic behavioral intervention, support, and skills training, assistance in accessing and utilizing community resources, emotion regulation skills, crisis coping skills, and developing and enhancing interpersonal skills.
Salary:
$15
  • $18 per hour
Position Details:
Full-time; Monday
  • Friday, working hours are flexible between 9:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM. Occasional weekend work may be required: Saturday and/or Sunday; working hours are 9:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM or 5:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Have one (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder. The ideal candidate will have experience providing community-based behavioral health support, psychiatric rehabilitation, supportive housing services, case management support, and/or hands-on life-skills training. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required for this position as the Community Support Associate will conduct home visits and transport clients.
Education Requirements:
A high school degree or equivalent is required.
Training Requirements:
Must successfully complete a Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities-approved Communicate Support Associate training curriculum within 6 months of hire. The curriculum includes a minimum of 10 clock hours of instruction in: principles of recovery and resilience, principles of psychiatric rehabilitation, effective listening and communication, diagnosis and medication management of mental health or co-occurring disorders, and crisis coping skills Must complete at least 6 hours of application continuing education or training annually following completion of the initial CSA training.
Conditions of Employment:
This position requires a criminal background check, clearances of state and federal background checks, multiple abuse/sex offender registries, and clearance of exclusion lists prior to employment. Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening. This position is a part of an annual, random drug-testing program.
