Job Description

FT and PT positions available (all shifts) for Clinical Associates at a Crisis Unit providing support to callers and working with persons who have mental health or substance use needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, must have a valid Driver's License; and be able to pass certain background checks. CNA applicants strongly encouraged to apply. . This person is responsible for communicating via call, text or chat through the operation of a crisis line(s). This position may also be responsible for a variety of tasks that include, but are not limited to: assisting with client treatment, driving vehicles, minor clerical work, minor physical plant maintenance/cleaning and program management. This position reports ultimately to the Site Administrator for his/her assigned location, however will typically report to an appropriate designee of the Site Administrator (e.g. Clinical Associate Supervisor and/or Program Manager). I. Major Tasks / Responsibilities 1. Assists in planning program activities relevant to program assignment 2. Answers the Crisis line(s) via the methods of calls, text or chat to communicate with consumers 3. Assists in identifying and securing resources needed to conduct the program assignment 4. Assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies necessary for the operation of the program assignment 5. Transports clients as needed 6. Facilitates meal-time activities and/or assist in meal preparation, when appropriate to assignment 7. Assists in the implementation of assigned program activities, including monitoring clients and their environment to assure the safety of staff and clients 8. Provides appropriate encouragement, support, and interactions for clients in the assigned program 9. Observes and communicates client behaviors and reactions to treatment interventions 10. Assists in handling maladaptive behavioral outbursts in a manner that is constructive and ensures minimal disruption within the assigned program setting 11. Conduct self-help, skills-building, and/or educational programming as directed and monitored by supervisors 12. Completes all programmatic paperwork to document services 13. Assists callers by listening/conversing with callers to understand the caller, provide support and share helpful resources 14. Demonstrate proficiency in providing services B. Administrative Accountability 1. Assists with documentation of services and activities provided according to corporate policies, procedures and guidelines 2. Completes paperwork, time sheets, etc., in an accurate and timely manner 3. Attends and participates in program and clinical staff meetings as assigned 4. Attends all scheduled training to successfully provide services via call, chat or text 5. Assist in data collection to support grants or other funding sources C. Miscellaneous 1. Meets productivity standards as assigned. 2. Attends periodic meetings and/or trainings as assigned 3. Performs other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned. 4. Responds to callers meeting all requirements regarding timeliness
