Hours Of Operation Mon - Fri 1:30pm - 6:30-7 pm School Breaks/School Closings 9:30am-2:30pm We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group leader assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children who experience a variety of behavioral challenges, including ADHD, ODD, high-functioning autism, trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. Your primary focus will be to assist these children in developing essential social skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to children with behavioral challenges, helping them stay on task and manage their emotions effectively. Teach and reinforce social skills, emotional regulation techniques, and essential life skills. Assist in de-escalating high-emotion situations, using appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Supervise and guide children during transitions between locations, ensuring their safety and providing necessary support. Collaborate with other team members, including teachers, counselors, and parents, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor and document the progress of each child, making adjustments to strategies as needed. Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and development for each child.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children with behavioral challenges, particularly those with ADHD, ODD, high-functioning autism, trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. Strong understanding of social skills development, emotional regulation, and life skills training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and build trusting relationships. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, using de-escalation techniques effectively. Valid driver's license and ability to safely transport children as needed.

Highschool Diploma or GED Work Environment:

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
