The Health Aide will support School Health Services under the direction of building school nurses in response to student health needs, including first aid, health record management, clerical tasks, and mandated vision and hearing screenings. Proficient identification of any deficits in students' vision and hearing, facilitating early referral and intervention to improve the student's quality of life. The Health Aide reports to the school nurse, Nurse Leader and Building Administrator. The Health Aide will be required to travel between schools.
Qualifications:
Professional Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required A mature stable person who has an interest in working with children A high school graduate Certification and training in MDPH vision and hearing procedures Respect for confidentiality of information Willingness to accept and utilize nursing supervision Completion of the American Red Cross Standard First Aid and Personal Safety Course with recertification at recommended levels Clerical proficiency/Familiarity with Health Office Software Noteworthy telephone etiquette CPR certified with appropriate recertification Flexibility in scheduling between district buildings The mission of the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District is to provide excellence in education for all students in an environment that values the individual.
