This rewarding role offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, and emotional success while working alongside educators and support staff. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in special education settings. Assist students with academic tasks and classroom activities. Support behavior management and utilize de-escalation techniques when necessary. Assist with toileting and other personal care needs as required. Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student goals and individualized needs. Encourage student independence and engagement throughout the school day. Schedule School-day hours beginning at 7:20 AM Approximately 31 hours per week Consistent Monday through Friday school schedule Qualifications Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. Patient, reliable, and compassionate approach to student support. Comfortable assisting with personal care responsibilities as needed.
