About Us Nulife Behavioral Health is a growing behavioral health organization providing Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services to adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team and provide peer-based support, encouragement, advocacy, and connection to recovery resources. Position Overview The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will use appropriate personal lived experience and recovery knowledge to provide encouragement and support to clients participating in our IOP/PHP programs. This is a non-clinical peer-support role . The Peer Recovery Specialist will work alongside our clinical team while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and respect for each client's individual recovery goals. Responsibilities Provide peer support, encouragement, and mentorship to clients Use lived experience appropriately to promote hope and recovery Develop supportive and professional relationships with clients Encourage clients to participate in treatment and recovery-oriented activities Help clients identify strengths, goals, and available recovery supports Connect clients with appropriate community resources and recovery services Support clients in developing healthy coping strategies and recovery supports Participate in groups and program activities as appropriate to the role Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team Advocate for clients and promote a recovery-oriented environment Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality Complete required documentation accurately and on time Attend staff meetings, trainings, and supervision as required Follow all organizational policies and applicable Massachusetts requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required State-approved peer support training/certification preferred or required based on the specific peer-support role Personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, peer support, recovery services, or a related setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, nonjudgmental, and supportive approach Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team Reliable, professional, and dependable Comfortable appropriately using lived experience to support individuals in recovery Preferred Qualifications Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) Peer Recovery Coach certification Experience working in an IOP, PHP, residential, outpatient, or other behavioral health setting Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
