Job Description

Position:

Behavior Assistant (2 positions)

Location:

Memorial Elementary School Schedule:

2026-2027 School Year Hours 8:35 3:05

Salary:

Per Contract $19.67 - $25.67/hour based on experience & certification

To Start:

September 2026

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelors Degree preferred Knowledge and experience of the following are preferred: Previous Special Education experienceExperience working with students with disabilitiesBehavior management trainingCPI restraint training preferredWilling and able to train

Duties:

Provide/support direct educational services Work with students with disabilitiesWork collaboratively with others in classroom (sub-separate and/or inclusion)Create opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skillsCompletion of daily log as necessaryMaintain student notebook in neat and orderly mannerMaintain student specific materials, reinforcersParticipate in program meetings/trainings Review progress on IEP goalsSupport students in ADL (self-care & hygiene, toileting and other needs identified by the students IEP and/or care plan).Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Teacher and/or Administrator
