Job Summary:

Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Reports observations and actions to the charge nurse. May be required to assist with de-escalation of combative behaviors.

Education:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, a Bachelors in human services field preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

None Specified Experience:

Position requires a minimum of 6 months experience working in a patient-centered environment with preference given to experience working with patients who have behavioral health or addiction issues.

Other Requirements:

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Ability to effectively communicate with all patient populations. Ability to appropriately apply restraint and seclusion procedures when necessary. Ability to process patient information and perform assigned duties in a confidential, professional and empathetic manner. Ability to operate internal computer systems and applications to effectively accomplish assigned duties.
