Job Description

Company Overview Head Start of, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to promoting school readiness for young children from low-income families. Through community-based programs, we strive to support early childhood development and educational success. This a floating position that includes travel between our 4 centers in Hagerstown. This position is used to fill in where needed.
There are TWO positions available:
Both positions need to be available between 7 am
  • 5 pm, Monday-Friday Full-Time/Full Year, 37.5 hours/week Full-Time Includes benefits
  • Paid dental/vision/health, paid lunch, PTO, holidays, life & STD benefits, retirement plan Part-Time/Part Year, 25 hours/week Job Summary To work with infants through pre-school age children in the classroom and to assist the regular teaching staff with classroom operation. To provide front-desk coverage / perform clerical duties as needed. May need to assist transportation
  • to supervise children during bus ride; to escort children to / from the bus; to take attendance on the bus; and to communicate with parents / authorized pickup person as needed. May need to assist health services staff with filing. Also, may need to assist food services staff
  • daily preparation of breakfast, lunch, and snack for classrooms.
Pay:
$15.35
  • $16.12 per hour Application Question(s): Are able to travel between our 4 centers? Are you available Monday-Friday, 7 am

We have two positions available : Full-Time/Full Year (37.5 hours/week) & Part-Time/Part-Year (25 hours/week, off during summer) Are you interested in Full-Time/Full Year, Part-Time/Part-Year or Both?
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
center based classroom: 1 year (Preferred)
