Job Description
Position Title:
Autism Resource Team Assistant Job Summary The Autism Resource Team Assistant supports the Autism Resource Team and ASD Teacher Consultants (TCs) to provide support to countywide students with ASD, their families, teachers, IEP team members, and local districts. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with students with disabilities in school settings (preference placed on students with ASD) Desire and ability to work with children and adults in an educational setting. Maturity, patience, and people skills to work effectively with students with disabilities. Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with ASD TCs, Autism Resource Team, and IEP team members. Strongly demonstrated interpersonal skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively with others. Understand and respect the need for student/family confidentiality when communicating with others. Strong motivation and initiative to learn the unique needs of students with ASD. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Create and prepare appropriate visual supports (social stories, schedules, reinforcement systems, etc.) for students under the direction of ASD TCs and Autism Resource Team
- Work with local districts to implement student visual support under the direction of ASD TC.
- Collaborate with the ASD TCs to create necessary data collection materials.
- Assist ASD TCs and Autism Resource Team with creating and preparing materials for professional development and trainings.
- Assist ASD TCs and Autism Resource Team with creation and organization of family night activities and events.
- Assist ASD TCs and Autism Resource Team with clerical duties managing budgets and the START grant
- Assist ASD TCs with creation of peer-to-peer and social skills group activities.
Wage:
$35,418 - $43,118- Salary figures are based on the 2025-2026 academic calendar.
