The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and families to implement effective behavior intervention strategies that promote positive behavior and academic success. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to support students with diverse needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students exhibiting challenging behaviors. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive school culture and address behavioral concerns. Conduct assessments to identify behavioral issues and monitor student progress. Provide direct support and coaching to students in managing their behaviors and developing social-emotional skills. Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on conflict resolution, anger management, and social skills development. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student behavior, progress, and strategies for support at home. Maintain accurate records of student behavior interventions and progress reports. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and collaborate on support strategies. Stay informed about best practices in behavior intervention and participate in professional development opportunities. Advocate for students and promote their well-being within the school community. Requirements Experience working with adolescents in an educational or counseling setting. Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student success. Familiarity with special education laws and regulations is a plus. Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar training is preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed for school-related activities.
