Hours of work:
generally 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with a possible couple of days earlier start 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice. Required 2 years of relevant experience Working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Required Experience working as a medical assistant Required Experience using EPIC Required Experience as an EPIC SuperUser Preferred CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA)- AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants Upon Hire required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA)
- NHA National Healthcareer Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA)
- NCCT National Center for Competency Testing Upon Hire required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA)
