Student Behavior Interventionist Middle School To Be Determined Supervisory/Technical

Scope of Responsibilities Works with Reclaiming Center staff and building administrators to improve the behavior of students and implement positive behavior strategies Performance Responsibilities Assists building administrators in the implementation of positive behavior strategies with students. Assists students in developing problem solving techniques individually or in groups. Assists with various duties at the direction of the assistant principals. Assists building administrators in completing referrals to community agencies. Maintains accurate and written information of all contacts with students, parents, school personnel and community agencies. Works positively with existing school programs, students, staff and community agencies. Attends building staff meetings and participates as needed. Other duties as assigned by the principal. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or accredited equivalency. Evidence of completion of college coursework and experience in education, criminal justice, social work and/or human services. Minimum three years of successful experience working with children and families in diverse/multicultural settings. Experience working with secondary at-risk students. Knowledge and experience with community resources and agencies.
