Our mission is to provide high-quality, person-centered supports that promote independence, dignity, and improved quality of life. JEC Miller is seeking a Licensed Positive Support Professional to join our clinical team. This position focuses on the development and oversight of positive support strategies in compliance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 245D. Position Summary The Licensed Positive Support Professional is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and monitoring of Positive Support Strategies and support plans for individuals receiving 245D services. Services are designed to reduce the use of restrictive interventions, improve quality of life, and support skill development through person-centered practices. Services are provided in the individual's home and community settings. The Positive Support Professional maintains a caseload of approximately 3-6 individuals and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members. Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Planning Conduct functional assessments and evaluate behavioral and support needs Develop and update: Positive Support Strategies Behavior support components within CSSP Addendums Crisis prevention and response plans (as applicable) Ensure all plans are person-centered, data-driven, and compliant with 245D requirements Implementation & Monitoring Monitor the implementation of positive support strategies by direct support staff Evaluate effectiveness using data collection and ongoing review Provide recommendations for modification, fading, or discontinuation of interventions Training & Coaching Train and provide ongoing coaching to staff on: Positive support strategies De-escalation techniques Person-centered practices Ensure staff understanding and competency in implementation Collaboration Participate in team meetings with case managers, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members Support coordination of care across systems Compliance & Documentation Maintain documentation that meets MN 245D and DHS licensing standards Ensure all interventions: Are clinically justified Reflect least restrictive alternatives Include clear data tracking and review timelines Required Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field Active, unrestricted clinical license in Minnesota (LP, LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT) required Minimum of 1 year experience supporting individuals with: Intellectual and developmental disabilities Mental health or behavioral health needs Experience in: Functional behavioral assessment Crisis intervention and prevention Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience working within 245D-licensed services Experience developing Positive Support Strategies and behavior plans Knowledge of DHS regulatory requirements related to rights restrictions and prohibited procedures Schedule Flexible scheduling based on caseload needs Evening, weekend availability, and travel required
