About This Role:
LEAD for 2 sites, Maplewood & Snelling 40 Hours per week including: Two days of Direct Care (24hours) Three Days of Administration Hours (16hours) Behavioral Essential duties Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans. Conduct data collection and analysis to track progress and outcomes. Assist with crisis management and behavior support as needed. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. Provide support during community outings and social activities. Requirements Previous experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques Ability to handle high magnitude behavior Ability to de-escalate intensive physical aggression and property destruction. Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement strategies effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed records. Basic understanding of medical terminology and ability to take vital signs if required. Familiarity with special education practices and principles is a plus. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Independent Living Skills Essential Duties Become an advocate for people served. Promote mental and physical well-being of people served. Assist with Activities of Daily Living. Teach independent living skills. Encourage proper behavioral development. Advocate for affordable and accessible housing, employment opportunities, and adequate and accessible transportation. Understand various benefit systems, such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicare, or Social Security and be able to assist consumers in navigating these systems. Help clients participate in activities of their choice, respects client's personal beliefs, choices, and interests. Provide one-on-one or group training in daily living skills, including cooking, bathing, medication administration, budgeting, and other skills. Provide transportation to consumers who have limited access to public transportation. Assist clients in peer support and socialization activities. Offer information, resources, and referral services to clients to assist in the attainment of client-generated goals. Suggest community activities and education courses for clients. Participate in work groups or community activities with clients. Provide crisis intervention counseling as needed. Provide options and choices to consumers so that they can make informed decisions. Train clients with work-related skills and job preparedness. Develop awareness of community resources throughout the service area. Serve as role model and mentor, demonstrate the desired behaviors, and coach the clients using approved techniques and strategies. Provide clients with positive reinforcement and feedback. Follow policies and procedures of guidelines. Maintain professionalism. Independent Living Skills Worker Required Skills Ability to read, write, and comprehend English effectively. Basic mathematical skills Ability to solve practical problems. Main Functions The team lead acts as a liaison between staff and the house supervisor to ensure carryover of daily operations within assigned setting. Essential Functions Maintain good attendance, ethical behavior and demonstrate ability to successfully fulfill the duties of a direct care staff Demonstrate ability to apply active treatment principles, including Behavior Management, and be able to communicate these principles with a clear and obvious understanding Ability to understand and follow instructions relative to accident and incident investigations and the reporting of injuries or special incidents Must be able to get along with a diverse group of people General Duties Daily documentation checks: Behaviors, Petty Cash Ledger, MARS, Staff Notes, Communication Log, Structured Leisure Activities, etc. Identify missing documentation, client issues and/or staff issues and report to House Supervisor daily. Inventory hygiene, personal care, and report to House Supervisor. Ensure the house is clean and organized in main areas including bathrooms and kitchen/dining areas. Immediately report all issues related to individuals' rights, safety, or maltreatment to the house supervisor. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the home. Ensure meals are prepared properly based on the menu posted. Ensure vehicles are well maintained, and the mileage logs up to date. Assist with menu preparation based on individuals' diet plans. Organize structured group activities daily based on the activity calendar posted. Ensure individual served bedrooms are clean and organized. Meet with House Supervisor every week for supplies/house audit. Assist House Supervisor with various tasks on a needed basis. Create monthly schedules Communicate with the team regarding training and schedule changes. Other duties as assigned by house supervisor and management. Requirements Experience with different personalities and backgrounds. CPR and First Aid Certified - We provide free training! 18 years or older Associate degree or equivalent Compassion and passion for supporting your community.
