Key candidate qualifications:

At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a K12 school setting. High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of these: Completion of at least two years (60 semester credits) at an accredited college Associate degree or higher Passing score on an approved basic skills exam (

455+ or

ParaEducator:

65% on Instructional Support, 70% on Knowledge/Application). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability for working with resource or center-based student populations.

Responsibilities:

Provide classroom and one-on-one support for students under teacher supervision. Assist with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support as needed. Help implement lesson plans and instructional activities. Maintain accurate records and assist with daily classroom operations. Foster an inclusive, positive environment that champions student success.
