Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A contract paraprofessional opportunity is available with immediate start and runs through late May 2027. This position is based in a middle school resource classroom setting and supports students, staff, and learning initiatives throughout the school day. The role offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM, for a total of 35 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
At least one year of experience working as a paraprofessional in a school environment High school diploma or equivalent Meets at least one of the following: Completed a minimum of two years (about 60 semester credits) at an accredited college or university Holds an associate degree or higher Has earned a passing score on an approved assessment (e.g., ParaPro Assessment or ParaEducator tests) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to support diverse student needs Reliable, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphereResponsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers and specialists with instructional activities in a middle school resource setting Provide academic and behavioral support to students individually or in small groups Support the classroom routine, monitor student progress, and document observations as needed Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and administrators Foster an inclusive and respectful environment This is an excellent contract position for those seeking hands-on experience working directly with middle school learners needing additional classroom support.
