We currently have four Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) locations across the Twin Cities area: The Landing 1 (TL1) The Landing 2 (TL2) Recovery Academy 1 (RA1) Recovery Academy 2 (RA2) Our facilities provide 24/7 residential mental health services to adults and support clients in building the skills needed to successfully transition to more independent settings. We are currently hiring Behaviorial Health Practitioners for 2nd shift and part-time weekend positions across our four locations . Available Shifts:
2nd Shift (4:00 PM - 12;30 AM) Part-Time Weekends 2nd shift and 3rd shift (12:00 AM - 8:30 AM) Weekend availability may include 2nd shift and/or overnight hours depending on location and staffing needs. Position Overview Behavioral Health Practitioners work directly with clients to provide rehabilitative mental health services, education, skill building, assessments, and treatment support under the treatment supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
Job Duties Include:
Conduct education sessions to help clients understand their mental health conditions and available resources. Provide rehabilitative mental health services focused on developing independent living skills and healthy coping strategies. Complete functional assessments (FAs) and assist with individualized treatment planning. Conduct level of care (LOC) assessments as appropriate. Monitor client progress throughout treatment and assist with updates to individualized treatment plans. Provide skill-building services under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional. Assist with crisis assessments and interventions when needed and within the scope of the position. Provide direction and support to Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers and Mental Health Behavioral Aides. Collaborate with Mental Health Professionals, Behavioral Health Practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care. Experience:
Completion of at least 30 semester credits (45 quarter credits) in behavioral sciences or a related field AND at least 2,000 hours of hands-on experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.
OR Work Experience:
At least 4,000 hours of hands-on experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities. Additional qualification pathways may apply for candidates with a qualifying behavioral health practicum/internship or graduate degree. Candidates must also be able to successfully pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study.
