Company DescriptionBehavior Climate SpecialistPosition Overview The Behavior Climate Specialist supports the implementation of schoolwide behavior systems that promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. This role focuses on strengthening Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavior supports, coaching students on behavior expectations and self-regulation, and reinforcing consistent culture systems across classrooms and common spaces.

Working closely with the School Leader and Assistant School Leader, the Behavior Climate Specialist partners with teachers and student support staff to address behavioral challenges, increase time in class, and help students develop the skills necessary to succeed academically and socially.

School Leader or Assistant School Leader, responsible for school culture systems and student outcomes.

Assistant School Leaders, teachers, counselors, Special Education staff, and other school-based support personnel responsible for ensuring students can fully access instruction.

Autonomy & Decision Making​This role supports the execution of schoolwide behavior systems and student behavior interventions aligned to MTSS structures. The Behavior Climate Specialist implements established behavior expectations, reinforces school culture systems, and provides targeted student support.

Decisions related to major disciplinary actions, suspension decisions, and schoolwide policy changes remain with the School Leader and Assistant School Leader.

What will I be doing in my day to day work?

School Culture & ClimateMaintain a strong and visible presence throughout the school day to reinforce behavior expectations.

Support consistent implementation of schoolwide culture systems.

Monitor hallways, transitions, and common spaces to ensure a safe and structured learning environment.

Reinforce positive student behavior and character development aligned to school values.

Student Behavior SupportProvide targeted behavioral coaching to students requiring additional support.

Support students in reflecting on behavioral choices and developing strategies to improve behavior.

Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans aligned to MTSS structures.

Support students assigned to In-School Suspension (ISS) to ensure behavioral reflection and academic engagement.

Behavior Systems & DataMonitor and analyze behavior data to identify patterns and inform interventions.

Maintain accurate records of student behavior incidents, interventions, and family communication.

Partner with school leadership to ensure consistent implementation of behavior systems.

Collaboration & Student SupportPartner with teachers to reinforce behavior expectations and provide strategies for supporting students.

Collaborate with counselors, Special Education teams, and leadership to coordinate supports.

Communicate with families regarding student behavior and progress when appropriate.

Participate in MTSS or student support team meetings

As a result, salaries are not negotiated. We are transparent about salaries in our job postings so that candidates can make an informed decision before beginning the hiring process. The salary range is $55,000 to $70,000. We are a fast paced, energetic team and family with passionate people who are leading a movement and to cultivate their best working environment we provide the following:$0 deductible healthcare plan option, including medical, vision and dental. Employer Paid Short Term Disability. $50,000 life insurance policy at no cost to the employee. Retirement plan through PSSRSSL with an employer match up to 14% and an optional 403b as a supplement to our pension program
