Mental Health Office Administrative Assistant Job Type:
Part-Time Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 26 hours per week We are seeking a dependable and professional Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of a mental health office. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with clients, clinicians, and community partners in a confidential healthcare setting. Primary Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Route calls, take messages, and follow up as needed.
  • Assist new clients with orientation paperwork and forms.
  • Complete and organize client screeners according to office procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client information.
  • Support scheduling, reminders, filing, scanning, and other general office tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to help ensure smooth client flow. Qualifications
  • Previous administrative, front desk, medical office, or behavioral health office experience preferred.
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn office systems and forms.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work Monday through Thursday. Preferred Skills
  • Experience with intake paperwork, screening tools, or client onboarding.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or healthcare confidentiality requirements.
  • Comfort working in a mental health, counseling, or healthcare office environment.
