Responsibilities Deliver individualized support to clients with developmental disabilities, including those with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, eating, mobility, and personal hygiene to promote independence Support clients during community outings and activities using personal transportation assistance when necessary Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors effectively Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and activities to inform care plans and support team decisions Communicate clearly with clients using appropriate methods such as American Sign Language or other communication techniques as needed Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, incidents, and progress reports in compliance with agency policies Support clients in developing social skills and engaging in community-based activities that foster inclusion and personal growth Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Familiarity with behavior management techniques and supporting clients with cognitive disabilities Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client outings and appointments Prior experience in home & community care or social services supporting individuals with disabilities is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records for ongoing client support plans Compassionate caregiving attitude with a focus on client-centered support and empowerment Join us in creating a positive impact by providing compassionate, personalized care that empowers individuals to thrive.
