Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar support role in schools Ability to build positive, encouraging relationships with students Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Patience, empathy, and flexibility to adapt to different learning and behavioral needs High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or completion of a Paraeducator certification program preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups, reinforcing lessons, supporting classroom activities, and helping with assignments Assist teachers in managing classroom behavior and providing instructional support Implement strategies and accommodations to meet the individual needs of students Support documentation, tracking student progress and reporting on achievements or concerns Help prepare instructional materials and organize learning activities Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all students
