Community Health Department The City of Nashua is looking for a compassionate individual who enjoys supporting the community to work per diem as Support Staff at the City of Nashua's Resource Center.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This part-time position will support the operation of the City of Nashua Resource Center. The staff will provide oversight of check-in process, daily recording of those accessing the site through log keeping, maintaining safety of those on site with regular checks to prevent substance use and overdose. Secure areas of use by performing walk-throughs and ensuring visitors are following policies recommended for the safety of all. This is a part time position, with varying working days. The hourly rate is $25.00.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in human services working with people experiencing homelessness Previous experience working with individuals that have mental or behavioral health conditions Some Computer Skills Bi-lingual skills a plus Strong interpersonal skills Solid writing and verbal communication skills Trained in
CPR and Narcan Use Knowledge of:
Substance misuse, treatment and recovery services, mental and behavioral health conditions Signs of an overdose and how to respond with life saving measures Employment supports Resume development Ability to: Effectively de-escalate conflict (verbal and physical) Work effectively in a team environment Work with difficult personalities and those impacted by mental illness Help with computer access Licenses; Certificates;
Special Requirements:
CRSW a plus CPR Certified
