Assists the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Team to complete all assigned tasks related to data collection, implementation/modeling of student behavior support plans, follow up on staff injury reports, and restraint documentation.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in behavioral science or related field preferred. Minimum of Associate's degree, or equivalent education, from an accredited college.
Certified or eligible to be certified as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).BCaBA certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three years of experience working with children with significant and multiple disabilities providing direct behavioral support, or any combination of education and experience preferred.
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS
Free of restrictions which would limit the use of the body as it relates to repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds; the physical management of students consistent with CPI training; and participation in swimming, kayaking, horseback riding, horticultural, and other activities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver's license; clean driving and criminal record; obtain and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, and CPI. Participate in professional development as determined by supervisor.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Under the direction and supervision of the SEL team, works closely with all staff in providing training and carryover of therapeutic support for each student receiving services per their IEP and Comprehensive Treatment Plan. 2. Assists SEL team with weekly behavioral observations of students as directed by SEL team and reports observations to the team on a daily basis. 3. Document and maintain NHDOE state mandated Restraint and Seclusion Data Collection. 4. Reviews all staff injury reports and follows up with the appropriate SEL staff. 5. Assists in data collection and entry ensuring accuracy and follow up with staff. 6. Maintain inventory of behavior related supplies including checking the need for replacement of mats and blockers to request replacement when necessary. 7. Oversees walkie use, training, charging and replacement, including weekly check-ins with classrooms. 8. Attends staff meetings and in-service training. 9. Support classrooms as paraprofessional as needed. 10. Performs other duties as assigned by the SEL team.

Compensation is based on 35 hours per week for a 204 day school year, including summer school. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
