Job Overview Healing H.A.R.T.s Wellness LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Assistants (BAs) to provide community-based behavioral support to children, adolescents, and families through New Jersey's Children's System of Care (CSOC). Behavioral Assistants work directly with youth and families to help strengthen coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, social skills, routines, and other behaviors identified within the youth's treatment plan. This is a great opportunity for bachelor's-level professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience in behavioral health, counseling, social work, psychology, education, or related helping professions. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one behavioral support to children and adolescents in their homes and communities Implement behavioral strategies and interventions identified within the youth's treatment plan Help youth practice coping, communication, emotional-regulation, and social skills Support parents/caregivers in reinforcing behavioral strategies Collaborate with the youth's treatment team, including clinicians and care management providers Complete required progress notes and documentation accurately and on time Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and appropriate communication with families Travel to assigned youth within your agreed-upon service area Minimum Requirements Candidates must: Have a Bachelor's degree Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Be willing and able to complete required background checks/fingerprinting Be dependable and able to maintain consistent appointments with assigned families Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be comfortable working independently in home and community settings Be able to complete required documentation within established timeframes Experience working with children, adolescents, behavioral health, mental health, developmental disabilities, education, mentoring, or family services is strongly preferred. Schedule Part-time / Flexible Services are community-based and scheduled according to youth and family availability. Afternoon, evening, and/or weekend availability is highly desirable, as many youth are in school during daytime hours. Service Areas Opportunities may be available throughout Hudson and Essex Counties, based on current referrals and candidate availability.
