Job Description

Job Description Cordial Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience to provide on-site behavioral health care throughout Lakewood, New Jersey . This part-time position offers a flexible three-day weekday schedule , meaningful patient relationships, provider autonomy and extensive clinical and operational support. You will serve adult and geriatric residents who often have limited access to specialized psychiatric services.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, consultations and follow-up visits Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications Evaluate treatment response, medication effectiveness and side effects Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, residents and families Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding diagnoses, medications and behavioral interventions Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered care Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation Requirements Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience Active and unrestricted New Jersey professional license Active DEA registration required Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently Excellent communication, organization and clinical-reasoning skills Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred Benefits Competitive annual compensation of $93,000-$114,000 Flexible three-day weekday schedule No weekend work Predictable daytime hours Paid orientation and structured training Malpractice insurance coverage Additional benefits available based on eligibility Weekly live continuing medical education Paid access to UpToDate Ongoing mentorship and case consultation Comprehensive clinical, administrative and operational support Professional advancement opportunities
