Job Description

Position:
Behavior Management Specialist, FT Category:
Classified Staff Currently:
Full time, 182 days per year, 7 hours per day

Currently at Alliance Early Learning School Reports to:
Building Principal Qualifications:
Associates Degree, preferred Ohio Department of Education - Education Aide Certificate Successful passage of the Parapro Assessment OR equivalent of at least 2 (two) years of college credit Confidentiality Honesty Cooperate and get along well with others Work as a member of a team Patient, flexible and willing to work with all types of people Ability to problem solve and demonstrate initiative to prevent problems Ability to take directions Previous experience with children in a learning environment Efficient typing and computer skills Basic Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to the following: Supervise the students who have been assigned Distribute assignments from the teachers to the students Assist the students as needed with their course work Understand and maintain the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the Principal and Administration Coach students in problem solving and social skills Provide crisis intervention assistance as directed by the Principal Conduct individual or group advising sessions related to behavior Exercise diplomacy in answering questions and resolve situations involving students, parents, public and/or school staff Perform other duties as assigned Attend in-services, meetings and/or training programs as required by Board Policy, the Superintendent or his designee Perform home visits as required by the Superintendent or his designee Ride the bus with students as required by the Superintendent or his designee Monitor after school student interventions as required by the Superintendent or his designee Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
