This position focuses on using lived experience and recovery-oriented practices to encourage residents, promote accountability, support healthy decision-making, and help residents connect with appropriate community and treatment resources. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who can build positive relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and program expectations. Responsibilities Provide peer support and encouragement to residents in supportive recovery housing. Serve as a positive recovery role model and demonstrate healthy coping and decision-making. Help residents identify and work toward recovery, employment, education, and independent-living goals. Support residents with connecting to community resources, treatment services, meetings, and other recovery supports. Encourage compliance with house rules, schedules, curfews, and program expectations. Assist with maintaining a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused living environment. Conduct regular check-ins with residents and communicate concerns to appropriate program staff. Assist residents in navigating barriers that may interfere with their recovery or stability. Promote life skills, personal responsibility, community involvement, and self-sufficiency. Maintain professional boundaries and protect resident confidentiality. Complete required documentation and communicate relevant information to the treatment/housing team. Participate in staff meetings and other required trainings. Respond appropriately to resident concerns, conflicts, or behavioral issues and follow agency policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current Ohio Certified Peer Supporter certification is required. Personal lived experience with recovery and the ability to appropriately use that experience to support others. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Cleveland-area recovery housing locations as needed. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation. Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with individuals who may have substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in recovery housing, substance use treatment, behavioral health, or peer support. Experience supporting individuals transitioning from higher levels of care into community-based recovery. Familiarity with community resources and recovery support services in the Cleveland area. Additional behavioral health or recovery-related training. Schedule Afternoon and evening shifts are available. Candidates must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed based on program coverage.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
