Detox & Withdrawal Management Job Title:

Recovery Support Specialist Job Summary The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) provides non-clinical recovery support to individuals receiving detoxification and withdrawal management services. The RSS helps maintain a safe, structured environment while supporting clients with daily needs, recovery engagement, and connection to ongoing services. Essential Duties Provide recovery-oriented support and encouragement to clients. Maintain professional boundaries and serve as a positive recovery role model. Monitor and report changes in client behavior, appearance, mood, or safety concerns to nursing or clinical staff. Assist clients with meals, hygiene, comfort, and other activities of daily living. Conduct assigned rounds and maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment. Support client participation in groups, activities, and treatment services. Assist with discharge and transition needs, including recovery resources and community supports. Complete required progress notes, observation logs, incident reports, and other documentation. Participate in shift reports, staff meetings, supervision, and required training. Follow all agency policies regarding safety, confidentiality, emergencies, contraband, and client rights. Qualifications High school diploma/GED preferred. Behavioral health, substance use, residential, or recovery-support experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a structured treatment environment.

Valid Driver License Pay:

From $16.09 per hour
