00 per hour (based on experience) Make a Difference in the Lives of Children Every Day Mindful Behavioral Care is looking for a compassionate, energetic Behavioral Specialist to join our Youth Day Treatment team. If you're passionate about helping children build social, emotional, and behavioral skills while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you. Mindful Behavioral Care is a locally owned behavioral health agency serving youth across Northwest Ohio. We provide Case Management, Assessments, Counseling, and Youth Day Treatment services. m. Summer and school holiday hours will vary. What You'll Do As a Behavioral Specialist, you'll work directly with children ages 5-13 in our after-school Day Treatment Program. You'll help create a structured, engaging environment where children can develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build positive social skills.

Responsibilities include:

Build positive, supportive relationships with children and their families. Facilitate therapeutic, psychoeducational, recreational, and skills-based groups. Assist with curriculum planning and implementation. Support children in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Safely transport clients to and from the program using a company-owned 15-passenger van. Collaborate with therapists and the treatment team to support each child's individualized treatment goals. Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record, including progress notes and required clinical documentation. Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and required trainings. Maintain compliance with agency policies and OHMAS standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience working with children , OR a bachelor's degree (or current enrollment) in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related behavioral health field. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Comfortable driving a company-owned 15-passenger van. Basic understanding of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care.
