Join our dedicated team as a Habilitation Specialist, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities to achieve greater independence and quality of life. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized habilitation plans tailored to each client's needs, focusing on skill-building in areas such as communication, social interaction, daily living activities, and behavior management. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene to foster independence. Support clients during community outings or appointments by providing personal transportation assistance using standard passenger cars. Utilize effective behavioral health strategies to promote positive behaviors and manage challenging behaviors through evidence-based interventions. Collect and document data on client progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes accurately to inform ongoing care planning. Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive support strategies and share updates on client development. Administer medication under supervision when required, following all safety protocols and documentation procedures. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Background in special education or social services supporting clients with intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience working with behavioral health populations. Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL), child care practices, or home & community care environments is advantageous. Valid driver's license with experience operating a standard passenger car for personal transportation assistance. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required training will be provided if you do not already have this ; additional certifications related to medication administration or caregiving are a plus. Pay:

$12.50 - $14.50 per hour
