Autism Support Professional (Male Required)
Location:
Pottstown, PA (Position advertised in Collegeville to reach a broader candidate pool.)
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Daylight Hours (approximately 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Pay:
$24.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience Make a

Although this position is being advertised in Collegeville , the individual you will be supporting is located in Pottstown, PA . Candidates should be comfortable commuting to the Pottstown area. Inspire Home and Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Male Autism Support Professional to provide 1:1 and 2:1 Enhanced support to adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities in both their homes and throughout the community. As an Autism Support Professional, you'll build meaningful relationships while helping individuals increase their independence, develop daily living skills, strengthen social skills, and actively participate in their communities. You'll work alongside our Behavioral Support team to implement individualized support strategies that create lasting, positive outcomes. Whether your background is in Psychology, Special Education, Human Services, or Behavioral Health, if you're passionate about supporting individuals with autism, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support in participants' homes and throughout the community. Support individuals during community outings, recreational activities, appointments, employment, and volunteer opportunities. Teach daily living, communication, social, and independent living skills. Implement individualized behavior support strategies under the direction of the clinical team. Utilize positive behavior support techniques while promoting participant choice and independence. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate participant progress with supervisors and the interdisciplinary team. Build positive relationships with participants, families, and other providers. Promote a safe, respectful, and engaging environment that encourages growth and independence. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, or a closely related field Experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to pass all required background checks Male staff required based on participant support needs Preferred NADD Certification Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Experience implementing Behavior Support Plans Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar training Experience in autistic support, life skills, emotional support, ABA, or community-based behavioral services Why Inspire Home and Health?
