Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Associate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a hybrid capacity, combining in-person and telehealth services. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate clinical documentation. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including those with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for precise documentation of patient care, progress notes, medical records, and treatment outcomes in compliance with clinical documentation standards. Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with other healthcare providers, schools, or community resources as needed. Facilitate intake assessments for new clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their mental health history and current challenges. Provide specialized services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, pediatric therapy, or gender issues counseling based on client needs and your expertise. Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at improving treatment efficacy and advancing mental health practices. Maintain ongoing professional development through training in telehealth therapy techniques, ICD coding updates, and emerging evidence-based practices. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Associate Mental Health Therapist Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience with pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and art/dance/psychophysiological therapies if applicable. coding standards for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation accuracy. Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health needs such as PTSD or chronic pain management. Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems; previous telehealth experience preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills and crisis intervention techniques. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams within outpatient or inpatient settings. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines ensuring confidentiality and patient rights are upheld at all times. •Spanish-speaking preferred.
