Associate Mental Health Clinician Roots Mental Health Clinic (Root From The Heart) | Medford, Oregon Independent Contractor (1099) | In-person, telehealth, or hybrid by agreement About the Opportunity Roots Mental Health Clinic is seeking an associate clinician to provide outpatient mental health services under board-approved clinical supervision. This opportunity is suited to professionals developing their clinical skills while working toward independent licensure. Cultural humility and a willingness to learn are essential. Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Spanish/English, are valued but not required. What You'll Do Conduct mental health assessments, diagnostic formulation, and treatment planning under appropriate supervision. Provide individual, couples, family, or group therapy within your training and authorized scope of practice. Participate in risk assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, and care coordination. Maintain timely clinical records and actively engage in supervision and professional development. What You'll Bring A relevant graduate degree and an active Oregon credential as a Professional Counselor Associate, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, or Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) , or approved Psychologist Resident status. Required board-approved supervision and practice arrangements in place before providing services. Professional liability insurance and knowledge of HIPAA, professional ethics, and clinical documentation requirements. Strong communication skills and a commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Experience with electronic health records and training or interest in evidence-based therapies are welcome. Working Arrangement Flexible scheduling, with service format and office-space availability agreed individually. Compensation is percentage-based, calculated on collected payer-allowed amounts, with the percentage established in the individual agreement. EHR, billing, credentialing, administrative, and referral support may be provided depending on the arrangement. Clinical supervision arrangements are established individually. Associates may maintain other employment or professional relationships consistent with their credential and supervision requirements.
