Flexible, based on client needs and consultant availability Flexible BCBA Consultation Work That Makes a Real Difference PosAbilities Clinic is growing our Therapeutic Consultation team and is seeking a BCBA / Licensed Behavior Analyst or Endorsed PBS Facilitator to provide meaningful, practical consultation for adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities. This is not a high-volume clinic caseload or a traditional 1:1 ABA role. This is consultation-based work focused on assessment, behavior support planning, staff and caregiver training, environmental supports, skill-building recommendations, and implementation support across real-life settings. PosAbilities Clinic is licensed to provide Therapeutic Consultation through the DD Waiver . No separate DD Waiver provider credentialing is required. Flexible consultation work Meaningful cases with adolescents and adults Community-based and hybrid documentation options Work that focuses on staff training, caregiver coaching, and real-world implementation Opportunities to support day programs, residential teams, families, and interdisciplinary teams A role outside of the traditional insurance-based ABA model What You'll Do As a Behavior Consultant, you may: Complete observations and behavior assessments across home, day support, residential, and community settings Review records, data, support needs, behavior patterns, and environmental factors Develop practical behavior support recommendations Create or update behavior support plans and skill-building strategies Train caregivers, residential staff, day support staff, and family members Support implementation of proactive behavior strategies Review progress, barriers, and data Collaborate with support coordinators, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members Complete service notes, progress summaries, reports, and required documentation What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: A current BCBA with Virginia LBA credentials Experienced supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Comfortable working with adolescents and/or adults Skilled in behavior assessment and behavior support planning Strong in caregiver and staff training Practical, person-centered, and collaborative Comfortable working independently while staying connected to the team Reliable with documentation and follow-through Committed to dignity, autonomy, safety, communication, and quality of life Preferred Experience Helpful experience includes: DD Waiver services Therapeutic Consultation Residential or group home consultation Adult day support or community-based services Staff training and implementation coaching Functional behavior assessment Behavior support plan development Communication, adaptive skill, emotional regulation, or safety-related supports Working with interdisciplinary teams DD Waiver experience is helpful but not required. We can support the right BCBA in learning the Therapeutic Consultation model.
