Advanced Counseling and Play Therapy is looking to hire another full-time therapist! We are a growing child and adolescent mental health practice seeking a licensed therapist to join our team of passionate professionals. You'll work with children (ages 2+), teens, and their families, using play, creativity, and evidence-based practices to make a real difference. Our practice's mission is to become the leading and most respected provider of mental health services for children and teens in eastern North Carolina.
Your Superpowers Must Include:
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, AND a related field Full or Associate licensure in North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) A passion for working with children, teens, and families Experience (or strong interest) in Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Art Therapy, or other expressive approaches The ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with kids, teens, and parents A sense of humor, patience, and creativity•because working with kids is an adventure!
What You'll Do:
Engage kids in play-based therapy that helps them process emotions and develop coping skills Work with families to strengthen relationships and create a supportive home environment Provide individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting Continue learning•We love supporting our team by offering a continuing education stipend to help with ongoing training and certifications!
