Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Two rewarding contract positions are available supporting students and teachers in a thriving educational environment near Charlestown, RI. Both openings offer the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the full school year, with a workday running from 7:50 AM to 2:10 PM. Due to unique commuting requirements, candidates must be able to reside on Block Island during the work week, taking advantage of the distinctive community and tranquil surroundings. Position 1 involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a student, alongside additional coverage duties throughout the day. Position 2 focuses on classroom-based support, where you'll assist both teachers and students to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or in a related educational support role Skilled in building rapport with students, showing patience and encouragement Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff RBT certification preferred, but not required Flexible, proactive, and adept at multitasking in a dynamic school setting Comfortable with a contract position covering the full academic year Able to commit to living on Block Island during the workweek due to ferry schedule constraints
