Overview Join our dedicated team as an ISS/DayHab Direct Support Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of direct support staff within the ISS (Individualized Support Services) or DayHab (Day Habilitation) programs to ensure high-quality care and client engagement Lead staff training on behavior management techniques, communication strategies and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support Monitor client progress through data collection and documentation to track behavioral changes and service outcomes Facilitate a safe and inclusive environment by implementing behavior management plans tailored to individual needs, especially for clients with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders Drive client transportation in standard passenger cars to appointments, community outings, or home visits while ensuring safety protocols are followed Collaborate with families, caregivers, and community partners to promote client independence and social integration Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders in a caregiving or support role Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices to support client development effectively Proficiency in American Sign Language preferred for enhanced communication with clients who are deaf or hard of hearing Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and client communication techniques Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for personal transportation assistance and community outings Background in home & community care services or social services environments supporting individuals with cognitive disabilities Excellent interpersonal skills for client communication, team collaboration, and family engagement Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in behavioral health or caregiving is advantageous Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual is valued!
