08/21/2026 In School Suspension Aide/Social Media Aide Position Purpose Under the direct supervision of the Principal the position of ISS Aide was established for the purposes of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for overseeing students assigned to "In School Suspension", documenting student behavior, and providing information to teachers, parents and/or other personnel. Essential Job Functions Implements under the supervision of assigned teacher, behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts. Collaborates with others (teachers, parents, and administrators) for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs. Coordinates program components, support needs and materials for the purpose of meeting District guidelines. Maintains a variety of detailed records for the purpose of meeting reporting requirements. Monitors student behavior for the purpose of ensuring a proper learning environment for students. Supervises assigned students within the classroom during regular school hours. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Assists in maintaining documents, files and records for the purpose of informing teachers and/or parents of students' progress. Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. students, teachers, administrators, parents, etc.) for the purpose of solving problems, providing information and/or directing to other sources Tutors students on assigned class work for the purpose of providing ongoing support in the completion of work assignments. Assist Principal with creation of social media posts and presence with the goal of increasing engagement and communications.Additional Duties:

Travel Requirements Travel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed. Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel). Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work. Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required. Effective writing and verbal communication skills. Work Environment Works in standard office and school building environments.Qualifications Profile:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Must be a minimum of 21 years or older. High School diploma or equivalent. Prior successful clerical experience preferred.FLSA Status:
Non-exempt Contract:
