Job Overview Join our team as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges! The QMHP provides compassionate, person-centered support, teaches practical coping and independent-living skills, assists with crisis prevention, and connects clients with valuable community resources. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and caring professional who enjoys helping others achieve greater stability, confidence, and independence. QMHP Job Responsibilities Provide compassionate, person-centered behavioral health services. Implement individualized service plans. Assist clients develop safety plans, coping skills, communication, and independent-living skills. Identify warning signs and provide crisis prevention and intervention. Coordinate care with families, clinicians, healthcare providers, and community resources. Connect clients with behavioral health services, medical, employment, and social-support services. Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality. Complete accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation. Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, and quality-improvement activities. Follow all agency policies and applicable DBHDS, DMAS, Medicaid, and licensing requirements. Promote client choice, dignity, safety, independence, and recovery. Required Skills Strong communication and active-listening skills Compassionate, positive, and person-centered approach Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, symptoms, and treatment needs Crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safety-planning skills Ability to implement individualized service plans Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team Care coordination and community-resource navigation skills Knowledge of Community Stabilization requirements preferred Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Basic computer skills and experience Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service area Flexibility to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and needs Positive attitude with strong personal skill set Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to transforming lives through compassionate care and innovative mental health services!
