Part-time (1-2 days per week; 3-4 hours per day) About the Role Are you a PMHNP or Physician Assistant passionate about providing innovative, life-changing mental health care? Our specialized outpatient clinic in Yakima is seeking a Clinical Lead to direct interventional psychiatry and ketamine-assisted therapy services. While our roots and mission are deeply tied to veteran care, our practice is dedicated to serving a broad community in need. We provide evidence-based, compassionate care to veterans, first responders, and the general public who are struggling with treatment-resistant depression (TRD), major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), severe anxiety, and related psychiatric conditions. This position offers the opportunity to deliver structured, evidence-based ketamine and Spravato® protocols under established clinical standards, working directly with an experienced medical director and a collaborative network of licensed therapists. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, intake assessments, and diagnostic workups to determine treatment appropriateness and medical necessity. Design, implement, and monitor personalized interventional treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical history and therapeutic goals. Provide onsite clinical oversight for ketamine administrations (IV infusions, IM injections, and Spravato® nasal spray), including pre-treatment screening, vital sign monitoring, and post-treatment recovery evaluation. Collaborate closely with licensed therapists to ensure seamless integration between medical dosing sessions and psychotherapeutic support. Participate in refining clinic clinical workflows, emergency procedures, and quality assurance protocols to maintain the highest standard of patient safety and compliance. Maintain accurate, timely charting and documentation within the clinic EHR.
Qualifications & Licensure Active Washington State Clinical License:
ARNP with board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) ; OR Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Washington State with clinical experience or specialized training in psychiatry, behavioral health, or emergency/interventional medicine (collaborative practice agreement established with Medical Director).
DEA Registration:
Active federal DEA registration (Schedule III authority) or eligibility to obtain.
Clinical Background:
Strong clinical judgment in assessing psychiatric risk, contraindications, and treatment-resistant mood disorders. Experience or strong clinical interest in interventional modalities (ketamine, esketamine/Spravato®) is preferred.
Population Affinity:
Veteran status or prior clinical experience working with military service members, veterans, first responders, or high-trauma populations is a strong advantage. Excellent patient-facing bedside manner, active listening skills, and commitment to whole-person care.
Work Schedule & Setting Hours:
Flexible part-time schedule (2 days per week, approximately 3-4 hours per day, with room to expand as clinic volume grows).
Setting:
Outpatient, private clinical treatment suites designed for patient comfort, monitoring, and safety.
Collaborative Support:
