Loving Care for Adult with Autism

This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an adult with developmental disabilities through dedicated caregiving and behavioral support. Must be a non-smoker, able to transport client in client's car, able to travel occasionally with client both in-state and out of state on leisure trips. Hours vary. Currently looking to fill the following hours: 2d and 4th Saturday of the month: 4 PM to Sunday 9 AM, Sunday 3 PM to Monday 9 AM; Thursday 11 AM to Friday 9 AM. Must be available at least one Saturday-Sunday shift and one other shift, Sunday-Monday or Thursday -Friday. We are looking for one or two people. This is a job that requires using Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), and is paid with state funds. No cash or under the table payments We pay for training at $17/hour. Eventual pay is $20/hr. Reimbursement of some health insurance premiums for full time (40 hr/week) employees after 3 months. PTO and retirement available for all employees after 3 months. Provide attentive daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition. Implement behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collect and record data on behavioral progress, responses to interventions, and other relevant health information to inform ongoing care strategies. Support individuals in teaching new skills, and fostering social interactions within a supportive environment. Maintain accurate records, update care plans regularly with the care team, and communicate effectively with all professionals regarding client's progress. Cooking nutritious and flavorful meals within the context of a special diet. Experience in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or related fields working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities or adults with challenging behaviors is helpful. Strong background in working adults requiring special education or patient care services. Ability to assist with ADLs and personal care while demonstrating patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with following care plans tailored to individual needs and behavioral health goals. Capable of managing behavior management techniques effectively while maintaining a positive, energetic attitude.
