Required Experience and Qualifications Applicants must meet all the following requirements: Minimum of one year of recent, hands-on experience working as a BHT in an adult Behavioral Health Residential Facility, residential treatment program, substance-use treatment facility or comparable adult behavioral-health setting. Two or more years of residential experience is strongly preferred. Experience supporting adults with behavioral-health conditions and co-occurring substance-use or alcohol-use disorders who are medically stable and appropriate for residential behavioral-health services. Experience providing direct resident supervision, completing scheduled checks and maintaining a safe and structured residential environment. Experience writing daily progress notes, incident reports, group notes and shift documentation using an EMR/EHR or comparable documentation system. Experience implementing treatment-plan objectives under appropriate clinical direction. Experience facilitating structured psychoeducational, coping-skills, recovery-support, independent-living or similar resident groups. Experience with crisis prevention, verbal de-escalation and recognizing when concerns must be escalated to a supervisor, BHP, RN or emergency service. Experience assisting residents with medication self-administration and completing the required medication documentation. Experience supporting admissions, discharges or resident intake procedures is strongly preferred. Current Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card. Current negative TB test or acceptable TB-clearance documentation. Current CPR certification. Current First Aid certification. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. High school diploma or GED. Ability to provide documentation of all required credentials before beginning employment. This position requires an experienced BHT who can perform normal residential duties with minimal introductory instruction.
