Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our DTA. In this role, you will provide compassionate support to individuals with diverse behavioral health needs, including those with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and others. You will assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, monitor patients, and collaborate with our team to promote mental wellness and behavioral stability. Responsibilities Support clients through individualized behavior management Take prevention and support assessments if needed Implement crisis management and crisis intervention procedures during behavioral escalations or emergencies, ensuring safety for clients and staff alike Support clients with activities of daily living, including social work interventions, special education strategies, and client communication Maintain a safe environment by applying de-escalation techniques, first aid, CPR, and adhering to all safety protocols Skills Experience working with adults and youth in behavioral or educational settings Strong background working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities Knowledge of mental health conditions Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR procedures confidently Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior intervention strategies Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care PROUD training and Article 9 certification required
Pay:
$15.45 per hour
