Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, patient, and caring Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to work with youth in a structured residential behavioral health setting. The BHT will provide daily supervision and support while helping residents follow their schedules, participate in activities, and maintain a safe and positive environment.
Responsibilities include:
Provide direct supervision and support to youth throughout the shift Follow the residents' daily schedule and help maintain structure and consistency Facilitate and participate in scheduled group activities, recreational activities, and skill-building activities Engage with residents and provide appropriate redirection and support when needed Complete accurate shift notes and documentation for each resident Monitor resident behavior and communicate any concerns or significant changes to management Assist residents with daily living routines, chores, hygiene, and maintaining their rooms Prepare and serve meals such as breakfast, lunch, or dinner depending on the shift Participate in community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and other approved activities Maintain proper supervision of residents during outings and transportation Assist with medication routines in accordance with facility policies and employee training Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment Follow all facility policies, resident treatment plans, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements Work as part of a team to provide residents with a supportive, respectful, and structured environment The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, able to remain calm in challenging situations, enjoys working with youth, and understands the importance of consistency, boundaries, communication, and positive role modeling. This position is hands-on and requires staff to be actively involved with the residents throughout the shift rather than simply supervising from a distance.
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 35.0 per week
