Friday through Sunday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM This position requires availability for the full Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule. Position Summary Unhooked Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct support and supervision to adults receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment in a residential setting. The BHT plays an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting clients throughout their recovery. This is a hands-on position that includes client supervision, documentation, transportation, group support, crisis intervention, drug screening, intake and discharge assistance, and other day-to-day client care responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities Provide direct client supervision and support while promoting safety, dignity, and a therapeutic environment. Monitor client activities, behaviors, progress, and overall well-being. Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients at all times. Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling. Assist clients with activities of daily living and other identified needs. Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral concerns in accordance with established procedures. Conduct routine accountability and security checks, including hourly rounds. Facilitate or assist with psychoeducational groups, community meetings, life-skills activities, wellness activities, recreational groups, and other program activities. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including client observations, group documentation, and applicable case management entries. Assist with client intakes and discharges. Obtain and document vital signs when required. Conduct urine drug screens in accordance with established procedures and training. Transport clients to medical appointments, court appearances, laboratories, and other approved appointments as needed. Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and communicate relevant client information to appropriate clinical and medical staff. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, in-services, and continuing education. Follow organizational policies related to safety, infection control, quality assurance, client care, and documentation. Maintain required BHT competencies and complete assigned training. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
