Join our team of dedicated, caring professionals and be involved in the delivery of adult behavioral health and addiction treatment located in the north foothills of Tucson, AZ.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician/BHT, provides care and support to clients in a safe and secure residential treatment environment, aids with daily living activities, and assists clients with treatment goals and behavior management.
Availability:
7am-7:30pm Full time 7am-7:30pm Per Diem 7pm-7:30pm Full time 7pm-7:30am Per Diem Must be available at least one weekend day/night
Essential Duties:
Assist with intakes, orient new clients to the facility and ensure the rules of the program are followed. Promote a recovery-based and client-centered approach to care that emphasizes hope, respect, self-direction and empowerment. Provide support and build rapport with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries at all times. Conduct rounds, belonging searches and safety checks on a routine basis. Ensure clients attend all groups and therapy sessions as scheduled. Facilitate groups as assigned and engage clients in organized daily activities. Transport clients to off-site appointments and recreational outings. Document client interactions and observations on the electronic health record, including daily shift notes. Report any unusual occurrences or observations regarding clients behavioral and physical health immediately to clinical and medical staff. Provide effective crisis intervention as needed. Assist to ensure the facility remains clean, safe and in compliance at all times. Attend required staff meetings and mandatory trainings. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
QualificationsHiring Requirements:
Peer-Support Specialist experience, preferred One-year BHT experience in a behavioral health treatment setting, preferred Must be 21 years of age or older. Displays proficient oral and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Experience with Electronic Health Records, MS Office and email software. Must have a Level
I AZ DPS
Fingerprint Clearance Card, and able to pass required clearances and background checks. Must have a current negative TB test Current Arizona Driver License, and current, clean, 39 month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
