Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)
Location:
Soledad, CA Pay:
$56 to $58 per hour
Contract Length:
26 weeks
Schedule:
Full-time, 5x8-hour shifts Multiple schedules are available. Please ask for details. We are seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician for a 26-week correctional healthcare contract in Soledad, California. This position provides direct psychiatric and nursing care to patients in a secure correctional setting. Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric and nursing care within the LPT scope of practice Administer medications and treatments as ordered Monitor patients for changes in behavior, condition, or response to treatment Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral health emergencies Support treatment plans and therapeutic activities Communicate patient updates to nursing, medical, mental health, and custody staff Follow all medication, safety, security, and infection-control procedures Maintain professional and therapeutic boundaries Requirements Active and unrestricted California Psychiatric Technician license At least 12 months of recent LPT experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Strong medication-administration and documentation skills Ability to work in a secure correctional environment Ability to complete all required background and facility clearances Correctional, behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric, or similar experience is preferred Assignment Details $56 to $58 per hour 26-week correctional contract Five 8-hour shifts per week Multiple schedule options available Potential for extension based on performance and facility need Please ask for details regarding the available schedules.
