Our approach is kind, respectful, and gentle, and our multidisciplinary team excels in addressing even the most complex substance use cases. Staff expertise includes therapy, addiction medicine, mental health, education, social integration, and recovery support. We are currently seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Technician to join our team. This is a promotional-track position offering exposure to multiple roles within the facility. Position Summary The Substance Abuse Technician plays a key role in supporting clients through their daily programming in a residential treatment setting. This position requires professionalism, compassion, and the ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Day-to-day responsibilities may vary based on program needs.

Proposed Schedule:

Various shifts, to be determined Job Duties & Responsibilities Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitor client behavior and respond to client needs throughout the shift. Complete environmental rounds as required. Inspect medication areas as needed. Document observations and milieu interventions in electronic/paper client records. Complete daily shift logs. Conduct AMA prevention and crisis intervention; notify Program Manager immediately. Ensure client safety through regular house checks and client rounds. Conduct UA drug screens as directed. Support client accountability in maintaining room and facility cleanliness. Participate in staff meetings, team meetings, and in-service trainings. Check and respond to company email every shift. Maintain ethical and professional boundaries with clients. Process new admissions, including property searches and confirming treatment consents. Process client discharges and document accordingly. Supervise self-administration of medications as needed. Comply with HIPAA guidelines and all confidentiality mandates. Complete special projects as assigned. Required Education & Experience Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in a residential substance abuse treatment setting. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of substance use disorders and the recovery process. Familiarity with recovery practices, including the 12-Step model. Ability to maintain ethical and professional boundaries. Knowledge of acute withdrawal signs and processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Preferred Experience 1-2 years of experience in the recovery field. Experience with SAPC documentation (PCNX) Computer Skills Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and email systems . Familiarity with electronic health record systems preferred (KIPU) Certificates & Licenses CPR/First Aid certification RADT (Required) ; CADC preferred Other Requirements Negative TB test (within past year) Medical clearance to work (within past year) Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings Fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including booster Valid driver's license Work Schedule Full-time Final schedule to be determined
